It's been a long time since a president of the United States has been a free-willed individual, instead of some misanthropic cabal.
Barack Obama is the first president in a long time to not be affiliated with the Council on Foreign Relations, but even then - Barack and Hillary snuck off during the campaign, leaving Obama's press corps, to meet with the Bilderberg Group in secret.
There is no doubt that Obama shares the interests of this misanthropic cabal, and yes - the president is a vestigial figurehead that deflects any focus or criticism away from the secret leaders on to the puppet leader.
Even without that, the president is not the leader of America, or the free world. The president is the head of the Executive branch of our government. People do not even vote for the president, vote for electors who in turn, vote for the president.
