Help enhancing my plot?

Okay, I've had writer's block for a while, but I've got a really basic plot worked out. Yes, it's about vampires, and, yes, it's a bit of a romance, but it takes place in northern North Carolina just a little before the Civil War and the other huge difference is that I'm not romanticizing the vampires-they're back to being mean, bloodthirsty, murderers. It starts out on a peaceful plantation at around May. A new plantation has been built just a few miles away and the people living on it (besides most of the slaves) are vampires. One of the girls on a neighboring plantation gets close to them and develops a crush on one of them (no names are certain, yet), without knowing what they are. These vampires can go out in the sunlight (it just takes away all their powers and strength) and she's not around them long enough to suspect anything. However, she drops by to visit once the families have gotten reasonably close and sees the group feeding off a couple humans (and killing them). That's all I've got so far. So do you have any suggestions for what else I could do? If it's like another book, how could I make it different? I'm not intending on publishing it (at least not yet-I'm only 14), but it's more just for recreation since I love writing. Thank you!Help enhancing my plot?
well it sounds great and different from most plots which is good.

and just because your 14 doesnt mean you cant publish it. that will only make the book pop out more because your young. im 14 and im writing 8 fantasy books.

go ahead and write it because it might just get you somewhere. dont add to much lovey dovey. we dont need anymore twilight crap out there.

keep with the gore and a small hint of romance and it'll do great.

keep up the good work cause i would read that.Help enhancing my plot?
Since you like to write, learn how to plot easier. After the intro, you'll need tension--so scenes with conflict, conflict and more conflict.

the problems the character faces should go from bad to worse, and even more worse than that.

don't let the character relax, tension will keep readers turning the page, wanting to find out what happens next

Here are some free articles on plotting novels:
