Similarities and differences of North and South in 1800's?

I have a big paper due of the similarities and differences of the North and South economy and daily life in the 1800's?

I have quite a bit, but I can't think of anymore. If you could help me come up with some more?Or let me know if you think I covered them all?

That would be very greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Ashley!

Differences:

South had slave labor, North had immigrant labor

South had plantations, North had increasing industry

South was king cotton due to cotton exports, North had growing cities

Also, North had manufactured exports and abolitionism.

Similarities:

Both had small farms

Both had agriculture

Both had racismSimilarities and differences of North and South in 1800's?
I think you have covered everything, but I would double check that the north had racism. I think the north was the only people who did not like racism. I don't know this for sure, so just double check in your text book otherwise you covered it well. Good Luck on your paper.
