I am looking at some communities near Bald Head Island and Coastal North Carolina to retire or buy a 2nd home. Found this community: Ocean Ridge Plantation (http://www.southeastdiscovery.com/communities/ocean-ridge-plantation).
Anyone know about it?Anyone know anything about ocean ridge plantation near bald head island?
During our search for a coastal location we discovered Ocean Ridge. We looked pretty much everywhere (all the communities look great online) but when you go in person you can really see a difference in the level of quality. There is nothing out there nicer than Ocean Ridge.
There is an on-site sales office..give them a call because they have a great visitation package where you can actually stay in the community a few days and play some golf. Their staff was fantastic and showed us their model homes, resale lots and also some new properties that came with a golf membership. Here is their number - 800-556-6570 and their website is www.oceanridge.com Good luck!
Bald Head and Sunset are the prettiest beaches in the area. BHI is a 20+ minute ferry ride to and from and mostly seasonal. Sunset is Ocean Ridge's beach and has lots of full time residents. Going to the beach here is a regular thing, so I recommend finding your favorite beach and landing in a community nearby.Anyone know anything about ocean ridge plantation near bald head island?
Ryan, I've lived in the area since 1997 and would highly recommend southeastern, NC for your retirement (2nd home) location. I've also lived in NYC, NJ, FL, and Piedmont NC and love it here. BHI is great... I proposed to my wife there on a vacation but I wouldn't recommend living there. It's nice and does offer a unique "getaway" but the logistics of living there (ferry, access to life, etc.) would get on my nerves after a while. Ocean Ridge Plantation is an excellent golf and amenity community in the area. I would just check out their website www.oceanridge.com and then plan a visit so you can see for yourself. I think they offer some kind of visit assistance like a discount hotel rate or something similar! In my opinion Ocean Ridge is easily one of the best places to live in Brunswick County but you know what they say about opinions. If you are looking online first to narrow down what communities to look at when you plan a visit here... include Ocean Ridge.
